WISTA Annual Conference
Dear WISTA Members, Colleagues and Friends,
As you may already know, WISTA Hellas will host the International WISTA Conference, which will take place in Athens at the DIVANI APOLLON PALACE & SPA, in Vouliagmeni, from Wednesday, 29th September, to Friday, 1st October 2010.
WISTA Hellas was established back in 1993 and currently numbers some 200 members, women in management level positions in the shipping sector. It is a member of WISTA International, the holding association, founded in London in 1974, and currently consisting of 28 member-countries and more than 1200 individual members.
Through this Conference, WISTA aims to promote, for one more year, the scopes of the organization, giving support to and facilitating the exchange of contacts and experience amongst its members and the larger shipping community. Also, the Conferences main target is to continue its educative role, expand the networking opportunities as well as dominate its role as being the centre for the exchange of information among its members.
The subject of the Conference is: Achieving Sustainability - Paving the Way to Shipping Excellence. During the Conference, distinguished expert speakers will once again honour us with their presence and will present their papers on how sustainable progress can be achieved and shipping excellence can be reached by promoting and strengthening social, economical as well as environmental balance and stability.
The event will last 3 days and will give you the opportunity to listen to internationally recognized speakers, meet and exchange views with experts and decision-makers of the maritime industry and of course all this will be combined with informative visits and excursions to famous landmarks. At the end of each day you will be given the chance to socialize with old friends and new acquaintances during dinners held at prime locations of the Greek Capital.
