Wista Switzerland was founded in Geneva in 2009 and incorporated according to Wista International's statute in January 2010. The founding members are 4 ladies strongly involved in different maritime areas, the board being composed of

Edera Pinza - President -  

Qualified lawyer and qualified ship agent in Italy, who is now starting her own activity offering marine services from Switzerland;

Paola Boccato - Treasurer -  

Holds a position as Director at UBS in Geneva, where she covers the Greek Market;

Carla Ievolella - Secretary -

After a LLM in International Maritime Law at the School of Law in Swansea University is now part of the Corporate Legal Department of Mediterranean Shipping Company, Geneva;

Daniela Picco - Marketing and Events delegate - 

Head of Corporate Marketing of MSC Crociere, Geneva; 

Wista stands for Women's International Shipping and Trading Association and gathers 1200 ladies in decision making positions in 32 countries worldwide. 

As a matter of fact, Wista represents a strong instrument of network through exchange of information, contacts, and support at all levels  in the shipping profession. This wide network is available to all ladies involved in the maritime industries, who decide to join the Swiss  Chapter. By doing so, Wista members become part of Wista International and are authorized to participate at events, conferences, seminars and meetings in Switzerland and all over the world.
